MOZART 250 Supporters and Patrons

Our ground-breaking MOZART 250 project gathers pace in the coming season as we continue our epic chronological survey of Mozart’s life and works.

Our survey of 1767 begins at Wigmore Hall in January with an overview of the musical landscape 250 years ago, including works by Mozart, J.C. Bach, Gluck, Gassmann, Abel and Arne, and in May we are joined by the celebrated South African fortepianist Kristian Bezuidenhout, who will make his company début performing Mozart’s first keyboard concertos. We will also celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s first stage works, and we welcome back director Thomas Guthrie to work on new staged productions of The First Commandment and Apollo et Hyacinthus.

MOZART 250’s reach will magnify as we extend our digital resources and explore further touring opportunities. We will also be expanding our far-reaching schools programme in West London in collaboration with the V&A.

As our programming expands, we are seeking to build support for this visionary project.
