Ellie Laugharne,

Ellie Laugharne began her vocal training at the Birmingham Conservatoire before studying on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She was a Jerwood Young Artist with Glyndebourne, and is an Associate Artist with Classical Opera. She made her company début singing the role of Emirena in Adriano in Siria in April 2015, and in June 2016 she sang the role of Zerlina in our performance of Don Giovanni at Cadogan Hall. Other roles include the title role in Stephen Oliver’s Euridice and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) for British Youth Opera, First Bridesmaid (Le nozze di Figaro) for Glyndebourne Festival Opera and at the BBC Proms, Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), Susanna and Barbarine (Le nozze di Figaro) for Glyndebourne on Tour, Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance) for Scottish Opera, Sandrina (La finta giardiniera) for the Buxton Festival, Valencienne (The Merry Widow) at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, and Governess (Turn of the Screw) with Opera Holland Park.
