Angela Simkin,

Born in Lincoln, Angela Simkin began her training at the Royal Northern College of Music before studying at the Royal College of Music, where she was a member of the International Opera School and an Ian Evans Lombe Scholar. Previously a member of the National Opera Studio, she joined the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme of the Royal Opera House, London, in September 2016. Angela made her Classical Opera début in April 2016 singing the role of Lucilla in Jommelli’s Il Vologeso. For the Royal College of Music her roles included Nancy (Albert Herring), Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Concepcion (L’heure espagnole) as well as Teseo (Arianna in Creta) and Iside (Giove in Argo) for the London Handel Festival.
