Chamber Concert – Haydn and Bohemia [Weltsprache Musik]

Share

Singers and instrumentalists of Classical Opera present a wide-ranging chamber music programme devised by Ian Page, performed in the exquisite palace in which many of Haydn's works were performed for the first time. Haydn is represented by a delightful piano trio and songs, Italian duets and British folksong settings sung by Susanna Hurrell and Robert Murray, and fortepianist Steven Devine plays dynamic sonatas by two of Haydn's leading Bohemian contemporaries, Leopold Koželuh and Johann Baptist Vanhal.
