Thursday 8 May, 7.30 pm – Wigmore Hall, London

We return to Wigmore Hall for a captivatingly eclectic Mozart programme in which soprano Sarah Fox sings arias from Mitridate, re di ponto, Il re pastore and Idomeneo, as well as one of Mozart’s most exquisite concert arias. Roger Montgomery – principal horn of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House – performs the second horn concerto, and then gives the world première of his own completion of Mozart’s unfinished sketch for an E major concerto movement. The two come together for the final version of Sifare’s great aria from Mitridate, with its famous obbligato horn solo.
