Why is it called the Age of Mozart?
During his short life, Mozart composed some of the most beautiful music that has ever existed, leaving an incredible legacy of 22 operas, more than 41 symphonies and 44 concertos – not to mention songs, chamber music and keyboard sonatas. What’s even more incredible is that this brilliant young man composed all these works by the age of 35.
The Age of Mozart is Classical Opera’s programme for audiences who – like Mozart himself – are aged 35 and under, offering you the chance to get closer to Mozart’s music with discounted tickets, to discover more at special events, and to meet other like-minded music-lovers. Embark with us on Classical Opera’s MOZART 250, a major new exploration of Mozart’s life and works which began in January 2015 and will run until 2041!
