There is no feeling – human or cosmic – no depth, no height the human spirit can reach that is not contained in Mozart’s music.” Lili Kraus

The next fully-staged opera in the Classical Opera Company’s complete cycle of Mozart operas will be our eagerly-awaited completion of his unfinished opera, Zaide , which will be performed at Sadler’s Wells, Buxton Festival and on tour in summer 2009. Using music written by Mozart at around the time that he wrote Zaide, and with an English libretto by acclaimed British poet Michael Symmonds Roberts, this will be the world premiere of our exciting new completion of this opera. We have already received £15,000 of the £107,000 required to get this project up and running, and are inviting participants to join an exclusive syndicate to raise the remaining funds.

apres-rehearsal dinner with Ian Page and company members to discuss the pre-production process and outline the artistic goals for the project
regular opportunities to attend music and production rehearsals, and chances to discuss the development of the piece with the artists
a meeting with the designer
an invitation to the dress rehearsal
accreditation in the programme and related literature (if desired)
10 free tickets to the London performance, with invitations to interval drinks

Full membership of the Zaide syndicate starts at £5,000. Donations qualify for higher-rate tax relief under the Gift Aid Scheme, which means that, in the tax year 2008/9, the net cost can be only 75% of the amount given.
