Classical Opera Company
The Truth About Love -
a romantic journey through Mozart's operas
Barbican location & transport

The Classical Opera Company will return to the Barbican's 'Mostly Mozart' Festival on 31 July with a programme exploring the theme of love through Mozart's operatic repertoire.

The joys and despairs of love are explored in a sequence of arias and duets from such operas as Le nozze di Figaro, Idomeneo, Così fan tutte, La finta giardiniera, Don Giovanni and Die Zauberflöte. These musical extracts are interspersed with readings from poems, largely written in the 20th century, and Mozart's letters.

The exciting line-up of soloists comprises sopranos Rebecca Evans and Klara Ek, mezzo-soprano Katija Dragojevic, tenor Andrew Kennedy and baritone Garry Magee.
